Graduate & Law
School Fair

Marketing Campaign
Project Overview
Create a marketing campaign inviting prospective grad and law undergraduate students and inviting admission counselors from 150+ nationally renowned graduate universities.

The project was composed of:
       - Printed Materials
       - Digital Materials
       - 2-week Social Media Highlight Series
Creative Strategy
Though the Graduate and Law School Fair was a day long event, converting it to a three day virtual fair had its fair share of chalenges. To best advertise a remote annual and national grad and law school fair, I created content that would meet students at where they were at, social media.

We marketed the fair through social media posts, paid social media ads, a social media story series and a designer take over to share behind the scenes content. Successfully resting in 400+ attendees and 150+ university partners.

Maintaining the recognizable fair brand identity helped retain past university partners as well as create a consistency that reminded folks of the upcoming events.
Printed Materials
Printed material consisted of event flyers, mailing materials, yard signs, & 24”x30” posters (for A-frames & open community ares) while all upholding university branding guidelines.
Digital Materials
Digital materials consisted of digital flyers & banners for UC Davis websites, social media platforms, & LCD screens across campus while all upholding university branding guidelines.
2-week Social Media Story Series
In an effort to increase engagement and excitement, I developed a social media story series highlighting the top universities within their perspective academic field. Showcasing their most impressive statistics to draw in student interest. I had lots of fun creating professional stories that maintained a sophisticated appearance while staying true to the inquisitive and intriguing nature I was aiming for.

MURALS Undergraduate Research Journal V.2

InDesign Publication
Project Overview
Reformat a 100+ page Undergraduate Research Journal consisting of 11 undergraduate research papers.

The project was composed by Chelsea Ramirez & updated by me.
My Contribution
The Mentorship for Undergraduate Research in Agriculture, Letters, and Science (MURALS) compiled their second round of undergraduate research papers. In order to commemorate all of their amazing efforts of researching a topic for over two years, a research journal was well on its way. Reformatting and updating the first volume of the journal in InDesign was mamangable due to the amazing work by the past graphic designer. This journal was designed and formatted digitally and prepared for print to produce a physical journal students and loved ones could enjoy.

From WordDocs to a research journal, these 11 papers were reformatted and transferred into publication format. My attention to detail was vast and necessary due to all of the foot notes and amazing graphics and images provided by our undergrads.

This journal felt so good to complete as it showcased the time and efforts of our undergrads and the immense passion they had for their research. Here is a love letter to them!

OEOES Workshop Calendar

Illustrator Ditigial & Print Calendars
Project Overview
Create an office wide calendar for each academic quarter consisting of all program events and workshops. The calendar was a compilation of over 150 events within a three month time period from two or more different programs.

The project was composed of:
       - Summer 2021 Calendar
       - Fall 2021 Calendar
       - Winter 2022 Calendar
       - Spring 2022 Calendar
       - Summer 2022 Calendar

My Contribution
Designing a massive digital and print OEOES calendar required lots of attention to detail making sure each event has the correct date, time and location (remote or in-person). Once I created a template I was comfortable with, it was all about updating and reformatting from there.

I was able to spot minute errors and improved my proofreading routine. Continuously crosschecking dates and times and repeats was essential to minimize error, especially when the calendar was going to be printed out at a large scale.

Once the OEOES calendar was complete, I would use it as a reference to create the smaller program specific calendars. These had more leeway to create direction and relied on program branding guidelines.
